Brothers and sisters.

Macs and PCs.

Lend me your ears. (or…in this case, eyes. sorry)

Pull up a chair and sit a spell as Senior Roberto shares with you an epic tale of woe, loathing and the proverbial “snatching of victory” from the clutches of all that is bad and evil.

Hooray!

But first, I must WARN you…

I do NOT have a push-button system or fancy piece of software to sell you.

(This qualifies as an appropriate time to GASP in sheer horror)

Instead, I have cooked up a semi-diabolical plan to amaze, entertain and share with you something certifiably cool.

To start with, I have not one. But TWO damning admissions to make.

They say confession is good for the soul. So here goes…

Damning Admission #1: Building Backlinks Ain’t Sexy

Period.

Any attempt to make the drudgery that is link building appear sexy fails. It just doesn’t work. For the same reason that the Miss Siberia Lumberjane competition does not have a swimsuit segment. But I digress.

Please, please, please–do not draw the wrong conclusion from this admission. Quality link building is essential to ranking high in the search engines. In fact, I would go so far as to describe it as a “drug” for Google, Bing and every major search engine out there.

Quality link building gives you what amounts to digital mojo. And when the search engines are happy, you’re happy. Why? Because, high quality links equal high rankings, and high rankings equal traffic. Ding. Ding. Ding.

Damning Admission #2: Most SEO “Experts” Ain’t Experts

I know. A real shocker, right? It’s unfortunate. But, SEO work has been turned into a secretive black art of sorts. With a bevy of “self-proclaimed” experts offering first page rankings and a pot of leprechaun gold—but failing to deliver on either.

Do solid SEO practices like building backlinks work? Absolutely. You just have to: a) undertake the grunt work of doing it yourself; b) manage a team of outsourcers and direct them to do it; or, c) find a legit “non-expert” and pay them to do it for you.

Sounds like work, doesn’t it?

Shhhh!! Listen. (Silence)

I can hear the question banging around in your head:

“So tell me again WHY someone would spend the time, effort and money tinkering with building backlinks? “

Answer: TRAFFIC.

Pure. Unadulterated. Quality. Traffic.

We’re talking good ole-fashioned organic search traffic.
And it doesn’t get any better than that.

Rob’s High-Flatulent Traffic Creed

You’ve probably seen people use this simple formula:

TRAFFIC = MONEY
I would add to that:
REALLY GOOD TRAFFIC = REALLY GOOD MONEY
Isn’t that we we’re looking for? Duh, right?
And in a nutshell, that’s the reason link building is worth the time, effort and occasional brain damage. When done properly, it’s like a force of nature, naturally pushing your site up the rankings.

PROOF. FUN FACTS. AND THE SALSA INCIDENT.

I learned the power of link building firsthand, through a gut-wrenching chain of events right after 9/11.
It’s a long story, but I’ll try to keep it short.
Once upon a time, I had a thriving publishing company that specialized in marketing materials for national hotel and resort chains. We worked with all the big names: Marriot, Omni, Hilton, Sheraton, just to mention a few. (Had a staff of 10 people and a 5000 square foot printing plant.)
Literally days after 9/11 virtually every hotel marketing director called to inform me they wouldn’t need our services any longer.
30 days later… I had to shut the doors on the entire operation.
90 days later…I had lost more money than most people make in their lifetime.
Not cool.
(Side note: A wise friend once told me: “Bro, sometimes life is gonna drop kick you in the pecans. All you can do is get back up.” Good advice)
BUT–
It was one of the best things that ever happened to me.
Why?
Because it started me down the road of learning about online marketing and specifically SEO stuff.
And it gave me my first victim, umm, I mean client to ply my craft on.

MEET THE MRS…

Kathi Burns (The Mrs.) Professional Organizer
So after we closed the doors on our publishing business my wife Kathi took some time off to re-create what she wanted to do. When she came back she told me she wanted to be a professional organizer. At the time, I had never heard of a pro organizer and had no idea what it was.

So I set about doing some SEO for local Organizing related phrases and within 3 months she was on her way to earning a six figure income just from folks finding her website.
And now she is one of the top organizers in the country appearing on Good Morning America, magazines and radio. And she is now on the first page of Google nationally for competitive organizer related keywords All from her website and ranking for a strange term and business I never even knew existed.

The SALSA Incident

Since Kathi was pursuing her passions, I felt kinda left out. So I decided to take some time off to recreate as well. Got in touch with my inner Serrano and started a hot sauce company. I set up an FDA certified “kitchen” in my garage and went to work.
This is where it gets interesting.
Ever dream of taking on a Goliath? And winning? Well I started to have this crazy idea that my little salsa company could overtake the 800 pound enchilada, Tobasco, on the search engines.
And guess what?
We did!
Now, I don’t run that business any longer, but being able to do that made me realize with the right know-how and a little work, anybody can compete with the 800lb giants in their industry.
I don’t know about you, but I think that is freakin awesome.
Think about it: here they are spending millions upon millions on their advertising budgets, so forth and so on…and here you are kicking them where the sun don’t shine on a tiny munchkin-size budget.
That’s the beauty of understanding how to do this, it enables you to go head to head, toe to toe, with the big boys and not only compete, but win.

RIDICULOUS R-O-I ALERT

Of course, I can’t claim these results as typical, but check out some of these cool case study snippets.

Sterling & Jay Case Study:

My friends Sterling and Jay asked for my help to rank their site internetbusinessmastery.com for some highly-competitive keywords related to their niche.
No problem, right? Except that there were 1 Billion competing pages for those keywords. Seriously. So how’d we end up doing? We were able to get both terms to page 1.
And what did that mean for their business?
Jay and Sterling estimated that it would have cost them $50k a day, to get the results the page 1, position 1-2 listing they received. That means they would have to spend $1.5 Million dollars a month to get the same results using paid search (not to mention paid traffic does not convert as good as organic).

DUDE, WHERE’S MY PAGE?

Let me give you another quick example. This one cracks me up.

Perry Belcher And The Weiner Cart Business:

My friend, internet marketing genius Perry Belcher, has his hand in all kinds of crazy niche markets.
One of his more interesting, but really profitable niche sites sells a course on how to start a hot dog cart business. Yes, you heard me right a wiener cart business!
So when some of his major key phrases started to drop off the first page of Google, Perry asked if I could help him get back to profitability.
Immediately my secret band of fanatical link building elves (not a grateful dead tribute band, but band as in group of people) and I got to work on the task of getting Perry’s ranking’s back up to snuff.
The result? Perry’s site is currently ranking #1 and #2 for two of the most competitive keywords in his niche.

A HALL PASS OUT OF TRAFFIC HELL

If you think getting traffic has to be HARD, EXPENSIVE OR TIME-CONSUMING…

Guess again.

When you understand how to do link building the right way, you’ll be shocked at the results you’ll get.
But, here’s the thing. For most people, learning how to build links seems too much like work or is as boring as polka and beans night at a retirement community. They would rather just have someone else do it for them.

I’m kinda strange. But I actually enjoy the tranquil drudgery of link building. To each their own.

So after a whole bunch of prodding from lazy business owners and online marketer friends, I finally put a link building service together. Even gave it a semi-respectable name: Link Building Rocket.

Sure you could do it on your own. (I’d be more than happy to point you in the right direction) But, if you like the idea of a cheap-as-dirt, done-for-you solution that gets pretty impressive results, this might be worth checking out.

WARNING! READ EVERY WORD OF THIS OUT-LOUD THREE TIMES WHILE LOOKING INTO A MIRROR.

This really is important. So listen up.

Link building is a long-term business building and traffic-getting strategy. You most likely will not see results in the first week. Heck, you might not even see results in the first 3 months. It depends on a lot of factors including if the google gods happen to be smiling upon you and how fierce your competition is.

So…

If you’re an opportunity seeker looking for instant results, this program is NOT for you.

On the other hand, if you’re serious about building a real business. And, you have competitors who are ranking ahead of you, then this ole link building thing is probably one of the best investments you can make.

Legitimate link building takes time.

There. I said it. Sorry. But it’s true.

Have you ever planted a garden? You don’t just plant some seeds, water the soil and come out the next morning ready to harvest some veggies do you?

It takes time. Things are happening below the surface, deep in the soil, that you can’t immediately see.

The same is true with link building.

That’s why if you’re the kind of person who is going to get impatient after the first month if you don’t see the results you want, please do us both a favor, and DO NOT invest in this program.

This kind of service really does separate the “men from the boys”. I’m not trying to be harsh. That’s just the way it is.

OK, enough of the grown-up talk.

The “time out” segment is officially over, so let’s get to the bottom line…

5 Ways LBR Will Give You More “Goof-Off Time”

I always like to make decisions based on solid reasons and not hype or temporary emotion. If you’re the same way, here are 5 things worth thinking about as you consider climbing aboard the link building band wagon. Solid reasons as to how Link Building Rocket will help you…

Reason #1: It will help you build a solid business with predictable, quality traffic coming to your website, month in and month out.

Reason #2: You will be able to compete—perhaps even beat—the big boys. Who doesn’t love the Davey vs. Goliath scenario and seeing the big guy fall flat on their face?

Reason #3: You will be able to do more with less. Less people. Less time. Less money. Which means you’ll end up with more as well.

Reason #4: You will be able to free up your time. Learning this stuff isn’t sexy. You’re busy enough already. This frees you up to work “on” your business and not “in” your business. (dang, feel so smart whenever I say that. Thank you Mr. Gerber)

Reason #5: You will grow your bottom line. Remember: Traffic=Money. And, Really Good Traffic=Really Good Money. Get it? Got it? Good.

Well, like they say in them cerebral animated shows, that’s all folks.

It’s been fun talking with you and I really appreciate you spending some time with me today. I love what I do. And I want to help free you up so you can do more of what you love.

Rob

PS: If you’re ready to get the full skivvy on my numbero-uno link building service, you can check it out here……. http://linkbuildingrocket.com/packages/

PPS: If you click on the above link and there’s not a page there. It’s very possible Criss Angel made it disappear. Sorry. Damn you Criss Angel! You really are a mind freak.
